Oh hey, it’s been a while.
Resurrecting this blog because it turns out I just can’t shut up about video games. Over the past few years I’ve been doing some mental gymnastics around my content creation journey. For a while, I got really caught up in my writing style and how I talked about games. Was it good enough? Was it on par with professional game journalists? Was I saying the right things? What are the right things? Why do I care? So we’re doing a bit of an off the cuff entry to get back into things. That’s more my speed anyway.
Streaming is my primary outlet for showcasing and talking about games. I do short and long form video editing across several platforms as well, but there’s just something special about the candid nature of streaming games live. It’s freeing and comes more naturally to me. When I have to actually edit and curate content I second guess myself so much. This unfortunately can lead to me being overwhelmed and putting aside content all together.
So this is just an update to say I plan on posting here more frequently. Lists, reviews, nonsense. As The Echo Friendly say “Fuck it and whatever.” Also, if you’re not already subscribed to my email newsletter I’d recommend signing up. I regularly share stream schedule updates as well as spotlighting indie games. Kinda like a bite size version of how I plan on using this page.
